Hi, I’m Lucie!

Lucie, mum of three and infant sleep consultant

Mum of three little ones and former sleep-deprived-anxious-zombie turned certified infant sleep coach.

I support parents who are at their wits’ end - exhausted, overwhelmed, and barely getting through the days - to make real, lasting improvements to their baby’s sleep.

Does the night ahead fill you with dread?

Are you obsessing over wake windows and nap timings?

Does sleep anxiety take over your whole day - to the point where leaving the house feels impossible, even though you desperately want to?

If this is you, I get it. I’ve been there more times than I can count! Reflux, regressions, night terrors, teething… when you’re living it, every day (and night) feels never-ending.

I created Sleeping It Real after years of sleep deprivation because I believe we cannot be the parents we want to be when we’re stuck in survival mode. You deserve calm, confidence, and real sleep - not just for your baby, but for you too.

This is what I help you move towards:

Evenings that feel like your own again
Nights where the whole family sleeps peacefully
Nap routines that feel easy, not anxiety-inducing
Support through regressions, leaps, illness, and all the bumps

You don’t have to keep doing this alone.

More about me
Within just one week of following Lucie’s guidance we’ve seen a huge transformation. Our little one is now sleeping through the night most nights consistently

Your questions, answered

Is this right for my child?

I primarily support and guide parents with little ones aged 6 months to 3 years, who are struggling with burnout or anxiety, in helping their infant to sleep independently, with a tailored, clear and flexible framework that works for the whole family. If you’re unsure whether your child is the right age or stage, the free call is the best place to explore that together.

What if my baby cries?

Some level of protest is very normal (almost inevitable!) when babies and toddlers are learning a new skill - including sleep. My approach is based on loving boundaries, which means your baby is never ignored. I’ll guide you on how to respond with comfort and reassurance, while still keeping the structure that helps sleep improve.

What exactly are ‘Loving Boundaries’?

Loving boundaries are at the heart of my approach. They’re about finding the sweet spot where comfort and reassurance meet structure and consistency.

Your baby is always responded to. You offer comfort, and reassure them - but you do it within a clear, predictable framework that helps them feel safe and understand what to expect. It’s about guiding them calmly and consistently as they learn the skill of independent sleep.

That magical sweet spot looks different for every child and every family. What feels right for one baby or parent might not feel right for another. That’s why my approach is responsive, flexible, and parent-led, with plans tailored to your baby’s needs and your comfort level, so you can move forward feeling confident, supported, and in control.

What if I can’t stay consistent?

It can feel really hard to stay consistent all of the time, especially when you’re exhausted or anxious. Consistency is important, but real life is never perfect! There are going to be bumps in the road - travel, illness, regressions, teething, wobbly days. That’s why ongoing support is a core part of my service. I’ll help you stay on track and adjust when needed throughout our support period, and you will have all the tools you need so you can keep going through the ups and downs.

How quickly will things improve?

Every little one is different, but many families begin to see meaningful changes within the first few days to a week. The goal is steady, sustainable progress, rather than quick fixes that fall apart. My support period is for 3 weeks, so that I can be by your side, to provide continuous coaching and encouragement which will set you up for long-term success.

Is there any pressure to continue after the free call?

None at all. The free call is simply a chance to talk things through and see if we’re the right fit. You’re always in control of what happens next.

Do you work with parents who are struggling with anxiety or mental health?

Yes, this is a big part of my work. I understand first-hand how deeply sleep deprivation affects mental health. My approach is designed to feel supportive, contained, and manageable, not overwhelming or judgemental.
